PT, OT, and Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy
CCMSD offers Speech Therapy for those struggling with communication and swallowing difficulties. These difficulties can be treated by a Speech/Language Pathologist and Crook County Medical Services District has a Speech Pathologist that is nationally certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Colleen G. Geil, M.S. CCC/SLP has been providing speech, language, and swallowing therapy for more than 30 years. She has the knowledge and experience to help patients determine where their difficulties lie, and how they can be treated. CCMSD will help our patients find their voice.
Physical Therapy (PT)
Physical therapy services are available for patients to achieve their highest level of function following injury, illness, or surgery. PT helps people lead more active and independent lives. We work with local Physical Therapists to provide these services to our patients.
- Help improve circulation
- Restore motion
- Relieve pain
- Strengthen muscle
- Prevent injury
- Improve balance
- Promote healing
Improving function is achieved through the use of stretching, exercise, physical modalities, manual therapy and soft tissue mobilization, and functional training techniques.
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Occupational Therapy (OT) treats a wide array of diagnoses. Occupational therapists help people participate in the things they want and need to do after an injury, illness, surgery, or disease. The goal of OT is to improve the patient’s ability to perform daily activities or “occupations”. These occupations include:
- Eating
- Getting dressed
- Taking a shower or bath
- Taking care of children and pets
- Working or going to school
- Participating in hobbies
We work with local Occupational Therapists to provide this service to our patients. For questions please call us 307-283-3501.
