As a Clinical Resource Nurse at the Moorcroft Clinic, Grace is at the heart of rural healthcare, making sure that her community gets quality care without having to travel far.
Building Bonds in Rural Healthcare
Having just hit her three-year mark at Crook County Medical Services, Grace has found her niche in connecting with patients and providing the kind of care that makes a real difference. “I like getting into the community and building relationships with patients,” she says. “Seeing familiar faces and knowing that we can provide care quickly and locally is really rewarding.”
But her role extends beyond patient care. As a Clinical Resource Nurse, Grace helps oversee clinic workflows, support staff, and even implement policies that improve efficiency. “I’m here as a resource—whether it’s for staff who need help or making sure things run smoothly,” she explains. It’s a newer position, but one that has quickly become essential.

When asked what she loves about Crook County Medical as a whole, Grace points to the opportunities for growth and the strong sense of camaraderie. “Everyone feels bonded or connected in some way. It’s like working with your friends or your favorite family members,” she says. “I’ve never dreaded going to work because of the people there.”

Grace calls Sundance home, where she enjoys the tight-knit feel of the community. “No matter where you go, someone will talk to you and say hi,” she says. When she’s not working, you can find her outdoors, hunting or fishing—when she’s not buried in online school, that is. She’s currently furthering her education while planning her wedding in June.
