Amanda Lemons: Championing Patient Care at Crook County Medical Services
At Crook County Medical Services, our team is the heart of everything we do. Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Amanda Lemons, a dedicated registered medical assistant whose journey and commitment to patient care exemplify the values we cherish.
Dedication To Patient Care at Crook County
Amanda Lemons has been a CCMSD Employee for five years, starting as a receptionist before earning her medical assistant certificate online. Her recent promotion to patient referral specialist underscores her dedication and hard work. “I started as a receptionist and then went to school online to get my medical assistant certificate. I honestly didn’t realize I would love it this much,” Amanda shares.
Amanda’s love for her job is driven by her interactions with patients. “The patients. I love the patients,” she says simply. This passion fuels her daily work, making a significant impact on the lives of those she helps.
A Family Atmosphere – A Common Shared Theme Here at Crook County
One of the unique aspects of working at Crook County, according to Amanda, is the family-like atmosphere. “It feels like more of a family atmosphere than a work atmosphere. When someone needs something, everyone pulls together to help them out,” she explains. This sense of camaraderie and support is what makes Crook County a special place to work.
Embracing Community Values
When discussing the culture at Crook County, Amanda highlights the patient-centric approach and the value placed on employees. “We’re patient-centric, and they also value their employees just as much,” she notes. This dual focus ensures that both patients and staff receive the best care and support possible.
Life in Sundance
Amanda’s connection to the Sundance community runs deep. “I grew up here, and although I wanted to go far away after graduating, I moved back because it’s a good place to raise kids. It’s a small town where everyone knows everybody,” she reflects. This close-knit community feeling is one of the reasons she loves living and working in Sundance.
Balancing Work and Personal Life
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her kids, especially during the summer when they go swimming and play on the slip and slide. She also has a passion for refinishing furniture and other artistic pursuits. “One of my favorite pastimes is refinishing furniture, but I’m also going to school to get my RN, so a lot of the things I enjoy are on hold right now,” she says.
A Warm Invitation to Join the Team
When asked how she would recruit new staff to Crook County, Amanda emphasizes the supportive environment and flexibility. “Join us and join a new family. The district treats their employees well, like their priority. There’s also flexibility within the clinics and opportunities to transfer to different departments if one isn’t the right fit,” she explains.
With a strong community spirit and a knack for making everyone feel like family, Amanda is a key player in making Crook County a great place to work and receive care. We’re lucky to have her on our team and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!
