GE 64 Slice CT
The Radiology Department at CCMSD now offers a new GE 64 slice CT. The new multislice CT, is flexible to adapt to almost any patient and clinical need.
The new CT has many benefits for patients. Some of these benefits are: low radiation exposure, faster scan time, patient minded functionality which almost eliminates claustrophobia, and it can accomodate most patients.
Diseases are treated more successfully when diagnosed early, CT scans can help save lives. The new 64 slice CT creates a three dimensional computer model of the body, including moving organs like the heart and the lungs and only takes seconds to perform. With CT you will receive the best of treatments from highly qualified and experienced experts. The better the image quality is, the more precise the diagnosis. A CT scan measures the state of your health inside your body. It scans areas that cannot be viewed by just having an X-ray.
GE Bone Density
CCMSD offers a state-of-the-art- bone density scanner. Osteoporosis is characterized by decreased bone density and increased bone fragility. More commonly seen in women, more than 75% remain undiagnosed. The bone density screening at CCMSD is designed to help in the diagnosis of the disease and gives more information to your provider who is coming up with a treatment plan. CCMSD's bone density machine is a state-of-the-art radiology procedure, which will determine bone mineral density or bone mass.
