COVID 19 NEWS AND UPDATE
In light of a recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Crook County and within the Crook County School District, Crook County Medical Services District (CCMSD) and Crook County Public Health would like to outline the procedure we will be following.
If you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 that include any of the following:
- Fever or chills
-Cough
-Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
-Fatigue
-Muscle or body aches
-Headache
-New loss of taste or smell
-Sore throat
-Congestion or runny nose
-Nausea or vomiting
-Diarrhea
Please contact your local clinic (Sundance Clinic 283-2476, Moorcroft Clinic 756-3414, Hulett Clinic 467-5281). CCMSD clinics are open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Outside of these hours please contact the Sundance Hospital at 283-3501. The staff can assist you on the protocols for receiving COVID-19 testing.
If you have any of the following symptoms please seek emergency care:
-Difficulty breathing
-Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
-New confusion
-Inability to wake or stay awake
-Bluish lips or face
If you have had a potential exposure to COVID-19, but have no symptoms please contact Crook County Public Health at 283-1142 with any questions or concerns. This will help to ensure that everyone is receiving a consistent message. There are a limited number of tests available as well as limited protective equipment due to this public health crisis. CCMSD will not turn anyone away seeking medical care, but we do have protocols in place that are meant to keep patients and staff as safe as possible and preserve the protective equipment that we do have. If you have had a COVID-19 exposure and have been encouraged to quarantine, a negative test does not release you from that recommendation. We would like to remind everyone to please wear a mask when social distancing is not possible and to wash your hands frequently.
